About this Role

Working at Salendine Nook High School, part of Heritage Multi-Academy Trust, is a genuinely rewarding experience, where staff are valued, supported and united by a strong sense of purpose. As part of a collaborative Trust that prioritises inclusivity, excellence and teamwork, colleagues benefit from a culture of professional respect, high expectations and shared ambition to deliver the very best for every pupil. Staff are encouraged to grow, contribute and make a meaningful difference within a positive, forward-thinking environment. The school also enjoys a very strong reputation in the local community and is hugely well supported by the families of children at the school.

The post holder will:

  • Take a lead role in supporting students’ behaviour, attendance and wellbeing
  • Act as a key point of contact for students, parents / carers and external agencies
  • Support the implementation of the school’s behaviour and inclusion strategy
  • Work closely with safeguarding leads to ensure robust safeguarding and early help support
  • Monitor and track student progress and pastoral interventions
  • Contribute to the development of individual support plans for vulnerable pupils, including those with SEND or social/emotional needs
  • Support reintegration and inclusion of students following absence, suspension or alternative provision
  • Promote positive relationships and a culture of high expectations across the school

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people, ideally in a school or pastoral setting
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of safeguarding, inclusion and behaviour support
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Is resilient, calm under pressure, and committed to improving outcomes for all students
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
