About this Role

This role is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in education and SEND support. Working closely with the SENCo and wider SEND team, the successful candidate will provide high-quality classroom and targeted support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

The role will involve supporting students within the classroom and, where required, within provision spaces within the wider school. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and overcome barriers. Through acting as a positive role model, the successful candidate will promote inclusion, confidence and a strong sense of belonging for all students.

This role includes enrolment on a recognised Teaching Assistant apprenticeship programme with Let Me Play Education. You will receive structured training, gain valuable practical experience, and develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in a career within education. During the apprenticeship, you will also have the opportunity to develop an understanding of how student progress and provision are monitored across the department, alongside dedicated time to complete assigned apprenticeship tasks and assignments.

The successful candidate will be compassionate, reliable and eager to learn. They will demonstrate strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs. Flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
