About this Role

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Learning Support team.  The successful candidate will be required to assist students who need additional support, either individually or in small groups. Experience of working with young people aged 11+ is desired and you must have a minimum of Level 4/Grade C in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent qualification).

St Alban's Catholic High School strives to provide an excellent education for our students within a caring Christian community where all are respected, valued and supported to achieve their potential. Our motto is “Love God, Love Our Neighbour, Love Learning” and through this mission we aim to inspire, challenge, support and value every student to achieve their potential.

The successful candidate will lead by example and assist the SENCo with all aspects of the smooth running of the learning support department and to manage the effective use of resources and high standards of learning and achievement for all students.

Our belief is that every child really does matter and that all of our students should feel engaged, challenged and supported in an environment where they can experience success and enjoy their learning.

The role is covered by part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

Please see the attached job description for the full specifics.

Of the two positions available one is a protected role for a male candidate due to the needs of the students they will be supporting.

CLOSING DATE: 8:00am, 7th  July 2026.
