About this Role

We are looking to appoint a permanent Teaching Assistant/HLTA to support students with Special Educational Needs and / or Disabilities to enable them to achieve their full potential at school.

You will work in class with small groups and on a one-to-one basis with a range of students of all ages.  Applicants need to be cheerful, adaptable, patient and ready to support students with a range of needs.

The successful candidate for this role will specifically focus on supporting students within our Art, Design, and Technology (ADT) department - ideal for someone with a practical, creative, or hands-on background.

Previous experience of working with young people is preferable but not essential as induction, training and support will be provided.  Those undertaking the HLTA role will have additional responsibilities commensurate with their qualifications/skills/experience and salary.

Hours are 30 per week, 8.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., term time only.  This position is suitable for someone who is just starting out on their career in education, looking to gain experience before undertaking teacher training or maybe an experienced Teaching Assistant/HLTA looking for a new opportunity. Example actual salary for 30 hrs per week, term time only:  £17,305 - £20,521 per annum, including fringe.

We were delighted to be awarded a ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted in March 2023, this recognises the hard work and progress made by all in the school.  Prospective candidates are encouraged to read the full report available on our website at https://stanborough.herts.sch.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/2023-OFSTED-Report.pdf
