About this Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring full-time secondary-trained teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and targeted interventions to support students, some of which may have additional learning needs, be subject to behaviour sanctions or be out of lessons for a variety of pastoral/wellbeing reasons.

Working within the school’s inclusion provision (COMPASS), you will plan and deliver small group teaching across all subjects, provide personalised support, and work collaboratively with colleagues to promote inclusive practice across the school. This is an exciting opportunity for a secondary-trained teacher with a passion for teaching and learning and the ability to support student wellbeing and outcomes to further develop and manage this provision.

For an informal discussion regarding this full time position or to arrange a visit prior to application please contact Govin Persand, Deputy Headteacher – gpersand@stanborough.herts.sch.uk

We were delighted to be awarded a ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted in March 2023, this recognises the hard work and progress made by all in the school.  Prospective candidates are encouraged to read the full report available on our website at https://stanborough.herts.sch.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/2023-OFSTED-Report.pdf

Further information is also available on our website: https://stanborough.herts.sch.uk/vacancies/staff-vacancies/

Interview date: Wednesday 15th April 2026

Prospective candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible. The school reserves the right to close the advert should we feel able to interview and appoint an appropriate candidate.

Stanborough School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  All post holders are subject to safeguarding checks including references and a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
