About this Role

We are looking to appoint a Music and Drama Technician to provide technical and general assistance to the teaching staff in the music and drama departments, both in and out of the classroom.  Your organisational skills, together with your technical knowledge will be key to your success, as you will need to set up studio equipment to record music performances and support with lighting and sound for school productions and examinations.

The successful candidate will enjoy working with young people and be a confident communicator as they will also need to contact parents regarding music lessons and departmental events; therefore, a friendly and efficient attitude is essential.  Ability to work flexibly around performances and events when required, for which additional payment can be made, is also key.

We were delighted to be awarded a ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted in March 2023, this recognises the hard work and progress made by all in the school.  Prospective candidates are encouraged to read the full report available on our website at https://stanborough.herts.sch.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/2023-OFSTED-Report.pdf

Further information is also available on our website: https://stanborough.herts.sch.uk/vacancies/staff-vacancies/

Closing date:  10th September 2026, 9.00 am

Prospective candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible as we reserve the right to call candidates for interview and appoint before the closing date shown
