We are seeking to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner who is an
enthusiastic, innovative and engaging teacher of Business Studies with
opportunities to teach Enterprise, Travel and Tourism and
ICT to join a dynamic and expanding team at the Academy.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement
and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated
curriculum for students and support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
- ·
Monitor and
support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher.
- ·
Facilitate
and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the
opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
- ·
Contribute
to raising standards of student attainment.
- ·
To share
and support the Academy’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities
for personal and academic growth.
- ·
Support and
maintain collaborative relationships with staff and external professionals.
- ·
The
successful candidate must hold QTS or equivalent and an honours degree in Business
Studies or related subject.
We would welcome
applications from teachers early in their careers through to experienced staff.
There may be opportunities for the successful candidate with the right
qualities and experience to apply for other roles within the faculty as these
arise.

are also regularly other exciting TLR opportunities within the Academy to take
on whole school projects and other roles for further development.
Our last Ofsted
inspection judged the Academy to be good in all categories and for overall
effectiveness with some excellent feedback across all subjects and our Pastoral
Care.

You will have/show:

Practical skills and expertise as outlined in

A passion and vision for working with students
in their personal, social and emotional needs as well as their academic

The ability to motivate and inspire students.
- ·
Experience of delivering Business Studies or
related subjects at KS4 or equivalent.
- ·
The ability to teach ICT at KS3 or equivalent.
- ·
Confidence in dealing with students across
different age ranges, particularly Key Stage 4 and 5.
- ·
The ability to teach A Level / Level 3 courses
offered in the department is highly desirable.
- ·
The ability to teach a second subject when
needed such as ICT, Computer Science, Media, or other related subjects is
desirable.
- ·
The passion to enrich the lives of our
students and contribute to the development of Cultural Capital to enhance the
life opportunities for our students.
