Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified classroom teacher to make a significant contribution to the school. We are looking for a colleague who will embrace our drive to ensure that Science is at the core of our curriculum and has students' progress at the forefront of their teaching. R&R payments are available for those looking for additional responsibility.


The Science Department:

The Science department is made up of 11 teachers with a range of experience. Co-operation and teamwork are a key component of the ethos of the faculty.

The department currently gets exceptional outcomes at Key stage 4 (top 5% of the country) and there are opportunities to teach A Level or vocational courses for the right candidate at Key stage 5. There are many opportunities to contribute to enrichment opportunities within the team to add to our well established Science week, Crest award and science club offer.

The post holder will benefit from excellent facilities and technical support and will have the full backing of the leadership team to ensure that our practical provision is first class.
