About this Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated Teacher of RS fulltime (0.8 may be considered) to join our thriving and highly successful Humanities Faculty from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a popular, high-performing and oversubscribed secondary school in Halesowen, where staff are committed to delivering an excellent education and inspiring a love of learning in every student.

Our Humanities Faculty is a well-established and collaborative team comprising Religious Studies History and Geography. The department benefits from 9 full-time and 3 part-time specialist teachers who work closely together to deliver engaging, challenging and high-quality lessons. Humanities is a real strength of the school, with strong uptake at Key Stage 4 and students who are curious, motivated and eager to learn.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is passionate about RS and committed to inspiring young people
  • Can deliver engaging and high-quality lessons up to GCSE level
  • Is willing to contribute to the wider Humanities curriculum and has the flexibility to teach another Humanities subject at Key Stage 3
  • Is committed to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement
  • Works well as part of a supportive and collaborative team

The Earls School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will carry out pre-appointment checks including DBS and will disqualify any applicant where we consider the outcomes to be unsatisfactory. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.

We are equally committed to ensuring that no applicant will be disadvantaged or discriminated against because of their protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010.
