About this Role

We are seeking to appoint two Heads of House to play a key role in our pastoral and enrichment provision. These are exciting opportunities for strong classroom practitioners to promote pride, belonging and shared values within our four houses.

The role involves leading House Week activities, including assemblies, competitions and fundraising events, and encouraging high levels of student participation. A strong focus on inclusion is essential, ensuring opportunities are accessible to all students, particularly those with SEND, those who are disadvantaged, looked‑after or previously looked‑after, or with a social worker.

These roles would suit colleagues with a passion for pastoral leadership who are committed to supporting students to feel valued, engaged and successful.

If you believe that you have the skills and experience to undertake this role, please click to apply. Candidates should refer to the attached 'Guide to Shorter Applications' to allow them to bypass large sections of the application form. Please ensure you include the names of two referees who will not be a part of the selection process.

Denefield is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will carry out online checks on all shortlisted candidates prior to interview. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks along with other relevant employment checks. CVs will not be accepted.

We are equally committed to eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity. We aim for our workforce to be representative of society and that each employee feels respected and able to give their best. We are committed to providing equality and fairness in our recruitment and employment practices and not to discriminate on any grounds. We oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination.

Applications, via My New Term, should reach us by 9.00am on Tuesday 12 May
