About this Role

We are looking to appoint several more Exam Invigilators to join our busy and conscientious team. Invigilators assist the Examinations Officer in the smooth and efficient administration of examinations, including preparation of rooms, student invigilation, distribution and collection of exam papers and helping to create the best environment for students to achieve their full potential during their exams. Working as a team, invigilators contribute to ensuring a calm environment, allowing students to be confident in their performance.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Supervision of students
  • Security of examination papers/scripts, equipment and stationery
  • To attend paid training each year

The successful candidate will:

  • remain composed under pressure and be able to conduct tasks accurately whilst paying attention to detail
  • have a good command of English and be able to deal with students in a firm but pleasant manner
  • be an adaptable and flexible team member who is discreet, calm and efficient with a sense of humour
  • be able to commit to as many sessions as possible - morning and/or afternoon - throughout all examination periods

Denefield is committed to safeguarding, safer recruitment and promoting the welfare of students and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Our comprehensive recruitment and selection processes aims to discourage and screen out unsuitable applicants. Successful candidates are subject to rigorous pre-employment checks. All short-listed candidates will be subject to online searches and any successful candidates will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. All candidates will be required to submit the names of two referees, one of which must be your most recent employer. CVs will not be accepted.

We are equally committed to eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity. We aim for our workforce to be representative of society and that each employee feels respected and able to give their best. We are committed to providing equality and fairness in our recruitment and employment practices and not to discriminate on any grounds. We oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination.

Applications should be submitted by midnight on  Friday 31 January. We reserve the right to interview candidates prior to the closing date so early application is encouraged.
