About this Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our friendly and dedicated finance team. 30 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days. 

Ideally, you will hold an accountancy qualification or have a strong background in financial management.  Experience of working in an educational environment would be an advantage but is not essential.  The successful person will report directly to the Head of Finance.

 As a Finance Officer, you will be a confident communicator and enjoy working collaboratively.  You will have excellent IT skills, good attention to detail, be proactive and used to working in a busy environment.

 The role includes:

  • the accurate and efficient running of day-to-day financial processes and systems
  • placing orders, processing invoices and dealing with adhoc finance queries
  • ensuring that robust financial processes are followed, in line with the school’s Finance Policy and that ‘best value’ is obtained
  • month end reconciliations and reports
  • cash management
  • management of trips finances and reconciliations
  • supporting the Head of Finance with monthly budget monitoring and annual financial audits
