About this Role

Required September 2026 Term time including INSET days

8.15am to 3pm including unpaid lunch time of 30 minutes

Rate of pay – NJC Scale 3, SCP point range 5-6 = FTE £25,583 - £25,989 depending on experience

Actual Salary £19,367 - £19,661 inclusive of London Fringe Allowance

Herschel Grammar School is a mixed, selective school graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.

The post holder will deliver pre-set work to classes in the absence of teachers plus other pupil and administrative related duties.  

The appointment will be subject to a clear DBS search and we aim to appoint individuals who:

  • are able to work with teachers and students in a calm manner
  • have good standards of literacy and numeracy and ICT skills
  • are energetic, creative and hands-on in all they do
