St John's Catholic School & Sixth Form College is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant Level 3.  You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to enhance the educational experience of all pupils. This role is ideal for someone with strong classroom experience, a proactive attitude, and a passion for helping students thrive academically and personally.

A priority for the role is to provide intimate care for student(s) on a daily basis as and when required. In addition, you will be working under the direction of teachers and senior staff within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with both individuals or groups, in or out of the classroom. This will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management and preparation of resources. This may also involve providing support in addressing the needs of pupils who need particular help in overcoming barriers to learning.  You may also be required to supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers.

In addition to supporting students, you’ll also assist with assessment, classroom management, and the development of learning resources. Your ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents will be essential in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

This is a dynamic and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ progress while developing your own professional skills within a collaborative school community.

We can offer:

  • The opportunity to be part of a dynamic and successful team
  • Access to Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Networking opportunities.
  • Flexible working patterns
