We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Midday Supervisor to join Blackley E-ACT Academy. The successful candidate will support pupils during lunchtime, promote positive behaviour, and help maintain a safe, orderly and inclusive environment. This role is ideal for individuals committed to supporting children’s wellbeing and contributing to a high‑quality school experience. 

Key responsibilities: 

  •  Supervise pupils during the lunchtime period, always ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Support and promote positive behaviour in line with academy policies.
  • Encourage inclusive and engaging play, helping to create a positive lunchtime experience.
  • Assist with the organisation of the dining hall, including lunch routines and transitions.
  • Respond effectively to minor first aid or incidents, escalating where appropriate.

Pay range: SCP2-4 - £2,827.21 - £2,916.61 - FTE: £24,413.00 - £25,185.00 - 5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills (e.g., GCSE English and Maths or equivalent experience).
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with children.
  • Ability to remain calm, approachable, and consistent when managing behaviour.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of health, safety, and wellbeing in a school environment.
