After School & Holiday Club Staff – Playworkers / Sports Coaches

After School Club: approx. 3:00pm – 5:30/6:00pm, Monday–Friday (flexible days)
Holiday Club: during school holidays
Pay: £14.60 per hour
Main purpose of the role
Crofton Junior School is looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Playworkers / Sports Coaches to join our After School and Holiday Club provision.
This role involves supporting and delivering a range of play, creative, and sporting activities for children aged 3–11 years, helping to ensure a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for all children attending.
You will be joining an established and supportive team, working across both term-time after-school provision and school holiday clubs.
Key responsibilities
Support the safe supervision of children during after-school and holiday club sessions
Plan and deliver engaging activities including:
Sports and games
Arts and crafts
Play-based activities
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion
Support setting up and packing away equipment
Work effectively as part of a team to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
The successful candidate will:
Enjoy working with children and as part of a team
Be friendly, approachable, and reliable
Have good communication skills with both children and adults
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Be willing to undertake training as required
Hold a current First Aid qualification or be willing to complete training
Previous experience working with children or in a play, sport, or childcare setting is desirable but not essential.
