About this Role
King James Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Maths to join our successful and supportive Maths department on a fixed-term basis for one term until 31st December 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented practitioner who is passionate about Mathematics and dedicated to helping all pupils achieve their full potential. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher or an experienced classroom practitioner, we are looking for someone who can inspire a love of learning, deliver high-quality lessons and contribute positively to our thriving school community.
The Teacher of Maths will:
• Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons across the age and ability range.
• Inspire pupils to develop confidence, curiosity and enjoyment in Mathematics.
• Plan and deliver challenging and inclusive learning experiences that secure strong progress for all learners.
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of a broad, ambitious and well-sequenced Maths curriculum.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and continually improve teaching and learning.
• Play an active role in the wider life of the academy through enrichment, super-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities.
