About this Role

Sheringham High School is a popular 11-18 school situated in a beautiful location on the North Norfolk Coast.  We have a strong sense of community and take pride in our surroundings.

We are looking for a full time Science Teacher, a Chemistry specialist if possible, to teach across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 on a temporary contract to cover until the end of the summer term 2026. ECT's are welcome to apply.

As a Science Teacher you will collaborate with the Head of Department to shape and deliver an engaging curriculum.  The successful candidate will inspire and motivate our students, guiding them through the science curriculum while fostering critical thinking and a hands-on approach to learning.  Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced teacher your passion for science and dedication to student development will play a vital role in our students' learning.

We strongly believe in an inclusive education and that every single student and member of staff should be supported to achieve excellence.  Our team ethos is central to our success, and we would welcome applications for similar minded professionals.

We can offer the successful candidates training for career progression, the support of a highly committed governing body within a forward thinking, and supportive trust.  Our students are polite, well behaved and deserve the best.

A visit to the school prior to application is highly recommended.  To arrange please contact the school and ask to speak to Nikki Clarke or email nclarke@sheringhamhigh.org.uk

We value the individuality and creativity that every worker potentially brings to the workforce.  We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and all staff and volunteers must share the same commitment.  The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS disclosure.  We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications irrespective of race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation and/or age.
