About this Role

Sheringham High School is a popular 11-18 school situated on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast.  We have a strong sense of community and take pride in our surroundings.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, talented and committed Teacher of Psychology and Criminology to join our Sixth form team.

Our Psychology and Criminology courses are well-established, with a strong uptake. The successful applicant would be teaching classes across years 12 and 13 and would also be responsible for a sixth form tutor group.

The post would suit someone who has a solid subject knowledge and a passion for supporting students to achieve their best outcomes. As part of our team, you would provide a rich and engaging curriculum, high-quality teaching and outstanding levels of respect and care.  We are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent communication and time management skills, who would be excited about further developing these popular subjects and contributing to the dynamic student experience in our Sixth Form.

We believe that every member of staff should be supported to achieve excellence.  Our team ethos is central to our success and we would welcome applications from similar minded professionals. In return we can offer training for career progression, the support of a highly committed governing body within a forward thinking supportive and successful Trust.

The school can offer discounts at a local gym and swimming pool and an employee assistance program to ensure your working life is the best it can be.

A visit to the school prior to application is highly recommended.   Please contact us to arrange this by telephoning the school and asking to speak to Nikki Clarke.  Alternatively email nclarke@sheringhamhigh.org.uk

We value the individuality and creativity that every worker potentially brings to the workforce.  We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and all staff and volunteers must share the same commitment.  The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS disclosure.  We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications irrespective of race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation and/or age.
