MOULTON SCHOOL AND SCIENCE COLLEGE

SENIOR DESIGN TECHNICIAN

37 hours per week 40 weeks per year

Grade G Point 8 - 12, £25,992 - £27,711 (Full-time salary)

£22,914 - £24,430 (Actual salary)

 

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Design Technician to work as part of the Design team, supporting practical work through the preparation and management of materials.

 

Tasks involved in the post will include: 

·         Support of teaching and learning throughout Design Faculty.

·         General Faculty administration tasks

·         Monitoring stock levels of materials, tools and equipment, and re-ordering as necessary ensuring that ‘best value for money’ is obtained.

·         Checking and maintenance of hand tools and machinery for safe use.

·         Monitoring of Health and Safety including conducting checks and external servicing

·         Attend/update data courses as required for safe use and maintenance of machinery

·         able to work under pressure at busy times such as exam periods and exhibitions

·         can be flexible

Experience would be advantageous but full training will be provided.
