We are looking to
appoint an outstanding teacher of PE to join our dynamic and successful
department.
Our Physical Education
faculty is highly experienced, with a proven track record of outstanding
examination results. Our GCSE PE results consistently rank in the top 1%
nationally, and our vocational outcomes are also among the very best in the
country.
We offer a broad and
ambitious core PE curriculum and at KS4/5 offer both GCSE and A-Level PE,
alongside Cambridge National and Cambridge Technical Sport courses. Our
curriculum is underpinned by a clear intent to foster a love of physical
activity and promote lifelong participation in sport and healthy living for all
students.
This is an exciting
time to join the team. We have recently installed a brand-new, state-of-the-art
fitness suite, further enhancing our sports facilities and strengthening our
well-established partnership with the local gym, Full Power Fitness. As part of
the role, you’ll have free access to both our on-site fitness suite and Full
Power Fitness.
We also pride
ourselves in an extensive extracurricular programme, with sports clubs running
every evening after school. Students can take part in a wide range of sports
including football, basketball, netball, gymnastics, and gym club. Many of our
sessions are led by external coaches, thanks to our strong partnerships with
local sports clubs and community organisations.
Beyond the classroom,
we provide memorable enrichment opportunities, including trips and tours.
Highlights from recent years include our Football and Netball Tour to Venice in
2024, an annual ski trip to Austria as well as stadium tours at Manchester City
and Liverpool FC.
We welcome applications from both experienced teachers or Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who feel they can bring energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for PE, sport science and promoting physical activity. A strong commitment to supporting extra-curricular sport and enrichment opportunities is essential.
Early application is strongly encouraged as we reserve the right to interview and close the advert ahead of the closing date.
