We are offering teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and are looking for a candidate who is passionate about art and their work with young people; they must be able to inspire individual creativity and independence in students. It would be an advantage if you have taught Creative Textiles at GCSE and Photography at A Level.
The departmental suite includes five specialist studios including independent sixth form working spaces. Hinchingbrooke House and grounds are also used extensively by the department as natural and easily accessible subjects for artists across all Key Stages.
This is an exciting time to join the flagship Art Department at Hinchingbrooke School. The results and outcomes are outstanding. The supportive Senior Leadership Team have the vision and drive to take the school to Outstanding and are supportive of the Creative Arts.
Teaching
The successful candidate will be expected to be an excellent classroom practitioner. As a school, we value highly the development of new and existing materials and the post will involve the opportunity to work on the review of existing materials and the development of new ideas.
Above all else, the successful candidate should be enthusiastic about their artwork and with their work with young people and have a genuine concern for their development as individual young artists.
The school sees the form tutor as a key role in the support, development and welfare of the students and teachers are expected to undertake this role with the same standards and commitment as their subject role.
The role will suit either newly or recently qualified, enthusiastic and aspirational teachers or those with good and outstanding practice who wish to share their expertise and make a difference. The school offers a bespoke CPD programme, research and development, links and networks with other outstanding schools as well as a plethora of extra-curricular and cross-curricular working opportunities.
