Are you passionate about working with young people and providing high-quality pastoral support? Cottenham Village College, part of the Astrea Academy Trust, has an exciting vacancy for a School Engagement Officer to work with students aged 11-16. This role is perfect for someone with previous experience in a school environment or working with young people.

Your Role:

  • Provide Support: Offer targeted pastoral support and guidance to identified families within the school community.
  • Engage Students: Work confidently and sensitively with students to help them thrive.
  • Promote Inclusion: Uphold our commitment to inclusion and equality of opportunity for all students.

About You:

  • Interpersonal Skills: You have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with young people.
  • Experience: You have experience working with complex families in the community.
  • Commitment: You are committed to inclusion and equality of opportunity.
  • Calm and Sensitive: You can deal calmly and sensitively with students.
  • Flexible: You have a flexible approach to your work.
  • ICT Proficient: You are confident in using ICT to support teaching and departmental administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Qualifications: You have at least GCSE Level qualifications with excellent standards in Maths and English.
