We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Community Liaison Officer to join our team at Peareswood Primary School. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with families, local community, and external agencies to support the welfare and development of our children.

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and fostering strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community, ensuring that the school is a welcoming and supportive environment for all. You will take the lead on attendance and punctuality initiatives, collaborating with school staff and external partners to promote positive outcomes for pupils.

A key aspect of the role involves developing the Hub provision in partnership with the senior leadership team, ensuring that wrap-around care and support services are available to children and their families. Working closely with the school's inclusion team, safeguarding officers, and other agencies, you will ensure that the individual needs of students are fully supported. Regular communication with parents and staff regarding pupil attendance and wellbeing will also form an essential part of your role.

The successful candidate will:

  •        Build strong, trusting relationships with families and external agencies to enhance pupil welfare.
  •        Be resilient, empathetic and understanding to the needs of our community, determined to seek the best outcomes for our pupils.
  •        Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
  •        Be proactive in promoting parental engagement within the school.
  •        Show commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all interactions.
  •        Work closely with the school’s safeguarding team to support the protection and well-being of children.
  •        Be responsible for managing attendance records, using data systems like Arbor.
  •        Take an active role in school life, supporting events, initiatives, and meetings related to attendance and community engagement.
  •        Have experience working within a school or community environment and be confident in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.

We are looking for someone who:

  •        Has experience working with children and families, ideally in a school or community-based role.
  •        Understands the importance of pupil attendance and understands the vital impact they can have on children.
  •        Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and engage others.
  •        Can effectively work as part of a team while taking initiative.
  •        Is resilient, well-organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  •        Is committed to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.

Candidates should refer to the job description/person specification and explain within their expression of interest how they meet the criteria, whilst also describing what they will bring to the post from their own knowledge and experience.

The successful candidate will work closely with the other members of the school team to provide the highest quality inclusive education throughout school. The role requires you to have ambition and drive for working with children and empowering all stakeholders to ignite the spark, reveal the champion.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should a suitable candidate be found; therefore, early application is encouraged.
