About this Role

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and highly organised SEND Lead to lead and coordinate provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across our school.

This is a unique and rewarding role focused on ensuring that our most vulnerable pupils receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Who we are looking for

We warmly welcome applications from professionals with experience in:

  • Education (e.g. HLTA, Teaching Assistant, pastoral or inclusion roles)
  • Social care or social work
  • Early Help, family support or youth work
  • Other child-centred services supporting vulnerable children and families

You do not need Qualified Teacher Status to apply. What matters most is your experience, commitment to inclusion, and ability to work collaboratively to improve outcomes for children.

About the role

The SEND Lead will:

  • Coordinate and monitor provision for pupils with SEND
  • Support staff to deliver inclusive practice
  • Work closely with families and external agencies
  • Contribute to EHCP processes and reviews
  • Ensure statutory requirements are met
  • Help remove barriers to learning so every child can succeed

You will work closely with the Headteacher, staff team and external professionals to ensure provision is ambitious, consistent and impactful.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has significant experience working with children or young people with additional needs
  • Is skilled at building positive relationships with families and professionals
  • Can coordinate support for children with complex needs
  • Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
  • Shares our commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all pupils

We can offer:

  • A welcoming, supportive and committed staff team
  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference to children’s lives
  • Ongoing professional development and training
  • Strong collaboration with external services and agencies
  • A role with real scope to shape inclusive practice across the school

Safeguarding Statement

The Rosary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. To arrange a visit, please contact our Office Manager, Mrs Mace on 01453762774 or email admin@rosary.gloucs.sch.uk
