About this Role

In this key position, you will lead on the provision, management, and analysis of all student and assessment data, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high‑quality information for senior leaders and teaching staff. Working closely with the Assistant Headteacher responsible for data, you will help ensure data is used effectively across the school to drive performance improvements and support strategic decision-making. This role is permanent, 37 hours, term time plus 1 week to be worked in the August results week.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Maintain and operate the school’s data systems so that student, staff and assessment information is accurate, secure and up to date .
  • Act as the school’s expert in all information systems and data platforms.
  • Manage all student data, including performance targets, assessment information, and exam results.
  • Produce timely and accurate reports for senior leaders and teaching staff.
  • Compile and maintain complex spreadsheets and MIS reports for pupil progress and statutory returns.
  • Act as the School’s Student Systems manager, providing specialist guidance on MIS systems, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring that statutory, regulatory, and operational obligations are met across the school .

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Advanced Excel skills, including the use of complex formulas.
  • Previous experience working with data, statistics, or MIS systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working with databases and producing high‑quality reports.
  • A good standard of English and Maths (GCSE Grade C or above)
