Deputy Subject
Leader of Maths
Salary Grade: UKAT Teachers + TRP 2d
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Start Date: Sept 2026
Location: Chatham Grammar
We
are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Deputy Subject Leader of Maths to
support departmental leadership. The role involves driving high standards in
teaching, learning, and assessment; developing engaging, independent learning
opportunities; and ensuring curriculum and examination compliance. You will
support staff development, monitor student progress, and work with our
university sponsor and partners to enhance learning programmes and outcomes.
· Support the
Subject Leader in the leadership and day-to-day management of the Maths
department.

Drive high
standards in teaching, learning, assessment, and student outcomes.
·
Develop and
deliver innovative, engaging pedagogy that promotes independent learning.
·
Ensure
curriculum delivery meets examination and statutory requirements.
·
Work with the
University sponsor and external partners to enhance learning opportunities.
·
Contribute to
whole-academy improvement and professional development.
·
Strong
leadership skills with experience in curriculum and staff development.
·
Proven ability
to raise student attainment and achievement.
·
Knowledge of
effective pedagogy, assessment, and current educational practice.
