passionate and committed Teacher of Physics to join one of the most
successful and high-performing schools in the city. Working as part of our Science
department you will have the opportunity to teach across the 11-18 age range
working across the school including our sixth form whose outcomes this
year represent the highest achieved to date. This role is open to
both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are keen to
develop their practice within a supportive and ambitious environment. For ECTs,
we offer excellent mentoring, guidance and structured support, ensuring a
strong and confident start to your teaching career.
You will be an enthusiastic practitioner with a genuine love for Science
and Physics and the ability to inspire pupils across the 11–18 age range.
Working as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking department, you will
play a key role in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while
supporting the continued success of our students.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A degree (or equivalent experience) alongside a
recognised teaching qualification
- The ability to deliver high-quality, engaging
lessons with excellent classroom management
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to
contributing positively to departmental development
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A secure understanding of key national and
educational policies
- The ability to inspire high achievement in young
people from all backgrounds
- A clear commitment to continuous professional
development and reflective practice

successful, you will be invited to teach a one-off lesson to revisit and
progress knowledge and understanding of Energy systems and changes to meet
higher GCSE science specifications, to a year 10 upper ability class.
