We have an excellent opportunity for a dedicated non-teaching Head of Year to join our pastoral team working with students in our main school. This is an exciting opportunity to gain pastoral experience in a highly successful academy.
An enthusiastic, suitably qualified colleague will manage student pastoral care and raise standards within year groups by providing leadership and high expectations for the students. You will monitor student progress, discipline and welfare and manage intervention where necessary.
Woodkirk Academy is a high performing, successful, well established, fully comprehensive, co-educational 11-18 maintained Academy. We have a proud record in academic, intellectual, social and sporting, musical, dramatic and community developments. Our latest Ofsted report noted a ‘passion and commitment to continuous improvement’ and that ‘leadership at all levels is focused on the progress of pupils.’

The postholder will work 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am to 3.30 pm Friday, term time only.
