About this Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of English to join our successful and supportive English department. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who is dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring a love of English in young people.

The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching GCSE,  You will be supported by a strong leadership team and a department that values collaboration, creativity and professional development.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with a relevant degree

  • Demonstrate consistently good or outstanding teaching

  • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for English

  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning and support progress

  • Be able to differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with EAL

  • Show excellent classroom management and high expectations of behaviour

  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities
