This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our supportive team and contribute to an environment where innovation, teamwork, and professional growth are actively encouraged.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented teacher with a passion for science and a commitment to delivering high‑quality teaching and learning. You will play a key role in delivering engaging theoretical and practical lessons across biology, chemistry, and physics at KS3, KS4, and Sixth Form.

The successful candidate will join a department that values creativity, scientific enquiry, and strong classroom practice. You will help maintain a safe, inspiring learning environment, support students during practical work, and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use a range of effective teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Demonstrate secure subject knowledge across biology, chemistry, and physics.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate meaningful practical experiments.
  • Ensure all practical activities are carried out safely and in line with health and safety requirements.
  • Assess student progress accurately and use data to inform planning and intervention.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student development and raise achievement.
  • Create a positive, well‑managed classroom environment conducive to high‑quality learning.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, departmental improvement, and resource creation.
  • Support students in achieving strong outcomes at GCSE and A‑Level.
  • Participate in enrichment opportunities, including trips, clubs, and wider school activities.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a teacher who is:

  • Passionate about science and committed to inspiring young people.
  • Knowledgeable across the science disciplines, with the ability to teach confidently up to GCSE (and A‑Level in at least one specialism).
  • Enthusiastic and proactive, with a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Skilled in planning and delivering engaging, practical lessons that promote curiosity and understanding.
  • Committed to student progress, using assessment effectively to drive achievement.
  • A strong communicator, able to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Reflective and growth‑minded, open to professional development and collaboration.
