Head of Physics
We have innovative subject leadership and a great mix of experienced staff in the team. Science, including the separate sciences, is a successful and popular subject area at Key Stages 4 and 5.
The department is in a dedicated Science area which has been recently refurbished and benefits from access to the latest Clevertouch interactive technology. The new member of this team needs to be a qualified Science teacher with a love of the subject and someone who can teach A-Level Physics (AQA). If that’s you then you will need to be hardworking, dedicated to ensuring students of all abilities can succeed and, crucially, a great classroom teacher. Previous experience of examination teaching at either KS4 or 5 is essential although there is no requirement to have taught post-16 previously. ECTs are encouraged to apply as this is a great team to develop your teaching skills with.
We are relentlessly focused on ensuring great teaching, learning and experiences are at the core of what we do in line with our mantra: Work Hard, Be Nice, No Excuses. We value experienced teachers joining our staff team as much as we do those new to the profession and encourage teachers at all stages of their career to apply. We also welcome applications from colleagues who may wish to explore flexible working arrangements.
Slough and Eton is a great school in Chalvey, Slough and is easily accessible via the M4/A4 and only a 20 minute walk from the Elizabeth Line at Slough train station.
