Sir John Lawes is an innovative and highly successful school (rated Ofsted Outstanding). We are seeking a well-qualified, engaging and dynamic teacher to join our successful Mathematics department made up of enthusiastic specialist teachers. Examination results at both GCSE and A Level are very strong and the progress that our students make in GCSE Maths is significantly above the national average. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner and a passionate mathematician and you will be required to teach the full age and ability range.
We know that recruiting and retaining the best possible staff underpins all our success and so we place great emphasis on CPD and support for staff at all levels. Sir John Lawes has been a National Support School since 2009 and we also benefit from the many opportunities for collaborative work that come from our membership of Scholars’ Education Trust. ECTs are welcome to apply for this post and will be supported by a comprehensive ECT development programme.
