About this Role

William Howard School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography to join our successful Humanities team on a 0.8 FTE maternity cover contract, starting as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Geography teacher to make a real impact within a supportive, ambitious school community.

About the Role

You will:

  • Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available for suitably experienced candidates)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons that inspire curiosity about the world
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the Humanities faculty and the school
  • Support pupils to achieve excellent outcomes through strong subject knowledge and effective pedagogy

  • Is a qualified teacher of Geography with strong subject knowledge
  • Has high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
