We are looking for a dedicated Site Assistant to join our team and play a key
role in maintaining the smooth running of our school premises.
This
is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, with
responsibilities ranging from site maintenance and emergency cleaning to health
and safety compliance.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Lock and unlock the school
site, including setting and un-setting alarms.
- Conduct checks on the
school buildings for break-ins, damage, and utility functionality.
- Assist with heating system
management and general site upkeep.
- Respond to maintenance
tasks via our online system, ensuring they are completed efficiently.
- Provide emergency cleaning,
including managing sickness incidents and maintaining hygiene.
- Perform regular health and
safety checks, including legionella checks and reporting hazards.
- Support the Site Manager
with various tasks and contribute to site improvement initiatives.
- Manage deliveries and
ensure safe storage of goods.
- Engage in manual handling
tasks such as moving furniture and setting up spaces.
What
We're Looking For:
- Strong communication skills
and the ability to interact with staff, pupils, and external contractors.
- Proactive approach to site
maintenance and cleanliness.
- Good knowledge of health
and safety regulations and ability to apply them on-site.
- Physically fit and able to
carry out manual tasks.
- Basic knowledge of COSHH
and safe handling of hazardous substances.
- Flexibility and
adaptability in a busy, ever-changing school environment.
