About this Role

We're looking for a passionate, driven Maths Intervention Teacher to make a real difference to the students who need it most. If you thrive on those breakthrough moments — when a concept finally clicks — then this is the role for you.

The suitable canddiate will be using targeted meaningful teaching with measurable impact.

The role

Working with small groups and individuals across Key Stages 3–4, you'll design and deliver targeted intervention programmes that close gaps, build confidence, and get results.

   Deliver bespoke maths intervention sessions to students working below expected levels

   Assess, track and report on pupil progress

   Collaborate with class teachers to align strategies

   Build the kind of relationships that make students actually want to engage

   Use data to adapt your approach — and celebrate every win, big or small

      What we're looking for

   - QTS with a strong maths subject knowledge;

  - Experience working with students who have fallen behind — and getting them back on track

  - Resilience, creativity, and a genuine belief that every student can succeed

We are able to offer this role on either a self employed basis or contracted .

Thamesmead School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to demonstrably share this commitment.  Employment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
