Learning Support Assistant
To start on 1 September 2026
25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
Hours: 9.00am – 3.00pm, Monday to Friday (with 2 half hour daily breaks)
Full time equivalent salary range: per annum: £26,824 - £29,540 per annum
Actual salary range for working 38 weeks a year term time only: £15,155 - £16,690 per
annum
This is a fantastic opportunity to support a range of students who experience barriers to learning or
have an identified special educational need. The postholder will be responsible to our SENDCO
and Hive Managers. Our staff are critical in supporting our students and really want to make a
difference to young people’s lives.
You will support children with special educational needs and offer in-class support to individuals or
groups of children in the classroom under the supervision of the classroom teacher. You will also
work with identified children individually outside of the classroom as appropriate and maintain
records on student progress and input relevant information into computer records.
You should have a good understanding of how to support students with a range of needs, together
with the patience, resilience and professionalism needed to build positive relationships with
students, families and colleagues.
You will be joining us at a very exciting time. Our sixth form is currently in its second year and this
brings with it numerous opportunities for continued development. The successful candidate will
receive appropriate induction and ongoing support as part of our committed SEND team.
