About this Role

We are seeking to appoint to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to the position of Cover Supervisor. The successful candidate will be working in classrooms directly with students and will provide effective supervision of whole classes during the absence of teachers.  Cover supervisors with experience are preferred but all applicants will be considered.

At the heart of a successful school is the provision of high-quality teaching and learning, the effective use of resources, improving standards of achievement for all pupils and the promotion of pupils’ personal development and wellbeing. A cover supervisor plays a key part in this provision by a commitment to the school’s ethos, by liaising effectively with all teachers and providing quality supervision when the regular class teacher is absent to support high standards of learning. You will need to be confident with positive communication skills, have a good standard of education and an interest in how young people learn.

What we offer:

  • An outstanding track record at GCSE, BTEC and A level
  • An inclusive school underpinned by our CARE values
  • Students who actively engage in lessons and have excellent attitudes to learning
  • Extensive professional development. We are the lead school for the Harrow Collegiate Alliance and work closely with other High Schools and Colleges in Harrow
  • Staff wellbeing activities each week, e.g. mindfulness along with staff sports and clubs
  • One of the best sites in London, located on the greenbelt next to Bentley Priory and set in 27 acres of woodland and fields, providing and exceptional learning environment

We continue to celebrate hugely successful GCSE and A Level results. The hard work of the students and staff alike has led to these great GCSE achievements:

  • 33% of all GCSE grades were the highest levels of 9-7 compared to 22% nationally
  • 57% of all students achieved 9-5 including English and Maths
  • 95% achieving EBacc
  • 31% of A Level grades resulted in an A or A* grade and 92% of Health & Social Care students achieved D*- D enabling many students to secure a place into their first-choice universities and degree apprenticeships.
