Join Ormiston Rivers Academy as a Student Support Advisor
and play a pivotal role in supporting the wellbeing, achievement, and personal
development of our students. As a key member of our pastoral team, you will
provide dedicated behavioural and pastoral support to students in designated
year groups, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to
ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.
As our Student Support Advisor, your responsibilities will
include monitoring attendance, promoting positive behaviour, organising year
group activities, and acting as the first point of contact for students and
parents. You will also be instrumental in implementing our Academy’s reward
systems, supporting students through challenges, and helping to create a safe,
inclusive, and respectful learning environment.

About you
We are looking for an individual with a good standard of
education (minimum Level 3 or equivalent) and experience working with young
people aged 11-19. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, ICT literate,
and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be
able to manage behaviour effectively, build strong relationships with students
and families, and demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the
welfare of young people.
