Landau Forte Academy Tamworth Sixth Form & QEMS is a popular oversubscribed academy in Tamworth with a very large and expanding Sixth Form.  The academy was judged as GOOD by Ofsted in September 2022.  You will be supported in your career through our extensive CPD programme including the opportunity to complete nationally recognised qualifications.  We are committed to prioritising the wellbeing of our staff through a wellbeing committee by committing to the Education Staff Wellbeing Charter.  We are looking to recruit additional members of staff to our Catering team.

Key Information

 Hours: 20 hours per week – Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm

·         Weeks: Term Time + 3 Inset days (45.03 weeks)

·         Contract: Fixed term contract until 22^nd May 2026

·         Start date: ASAP

·         Salary:  £12.21 per hour

·         Closing Date: Friday 9^th January 2026 at 9.00am

Job Description

·          ·         Assist with the preparation, setting up and serving of meals in line with food hygiene regulations

·          ·         Ensure compliance with food hygiene and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations at all times

·          ·         Provide customer focussed service, which is courteous and responsive and meets the needs of the customers at all times

·          ·         To undertake washing up and cleaning duties in the kitchen

·          ·         To work as part of a team

·          ·         To safely operate kitchen equipment at all times

·          ·         To report and identify repair of kitchen equipment immediately on detention to the Catering Manager

·          ·         To report and accidents and incidents to the Catering Manager

·          ·         To assist in the security of the catering area at all times

·          ·         To maintain high standards of cleanliness, personal hygiene and appearance

·         ·         Undertake such duties as may be considered appropriate by the Catering Manager in line with the needs of the service

Landau Forte Academy QEMS joined the Landau Forte Charitable Trust in September 2011 and delivers education to 11-16 year olds. Landau Forte Academy Sixth Form is a purpose-built establishment providing Level 3 courses, both Advanced Level and BTEC, for the whole of Tamworth and beyond. The academies are located on a shared campus, but both operate from their own facilities, with Landau Forte Academy Sixth Form having new bespoke, accommodation, which opened in September 2011, with a new Sports Hall that opened in 2013.  If you would like to look around our Academy, please contact Mrs Smart esmart@lfatsf.org.uk

Within a 20 minute drive from the town, you can find yourself in the beautiful, open Staffordshire countryside or Birmingham‘s bustling city centre.
