King Alfred's is seeking applications for Exam Invigilators to assist in the running of internal and external exams. You will work under the direction of the Examinations Manager whilst adhering to the strict Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations for the conduct of examinations. The exam seasons, which also cover mock internal exams, run during November, December, January, February, April, May, June and early July. We are looking for candidates who have good availability across these periods and are able to work regularly through the exam seasons. The school will provide training for conducting examinations, as well as statutory training for the Safeguarding of young people.
This is a term-time only role with a minimum number of
15 hours per academic year commitment, which includes training for conducting examinations and statutory training, all of which is provided by the
school. There is flexibility to work mornings and/or afternoons, start
times are generally between 08.00 - 08.30 for morning sessions, and 12.30 -
13.00 for afternoons. Successful candidates will join a friendly, busy
team and will need to have a good rapport with young people, be observant and
have good attention to detail.
