Do you want to work in a school where the behaviour and attitudes of students is outstanding, a school which is driven by strong values, a caring ethos and a commitment to educational excellence, and where each and every student knows the gift of life in all its fullness?

St Aidan’s Church of England High School is seeking to appoint a highly organised and enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician to support our successful and well-resourced Art and Technology faculty, with a focus on Product Design and Engineering.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role supporting teaching and learning by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and helping to create a safe, engaging workshop environment for students.

You will be practical, organised, and detail-oriented, with a proactive, flexible, and hard-working approach. You will have experience of, or a strong interest in, working in a technical or workshop environment and a good understanding of materials, tools, and processes. You will be aware of health and safety requirements, with knowledge of COSHH being desirable, and you will be confident using workshop machinery, with CAD/CAM experience considered an advantage.

Completed applications should be submitted via My New Term by midnight on Sunday, 21st June 2026.

Interviews will be held week commencing 22nd June 2026.
