We are seeking to appoint a First Aider to join our team as soon as possible, term time only. Working within a small team, you will need the ability to both follow instructions and think on your feet to make decisions quickly. The role is varied and no two days are the same as priorities can change throughout the day.
The essential qualities required are someone who enjoys a good rapport with students, has a level headed approach to differing situations and the ability to multi-task. In addition, you need to have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written form as you will need to record/monitor students visiting first aid and liaise home or with outside agencies depending on the situation. Previous first aid knowledge, training or experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided, so finding the correct person for the role is our priority,

The post is for a total of 16 hours per week, 11.15am-3.30pm Tuesday to Friday which includes a 15 minute unpaid break. You will receive your salary in 12 equal payments. The post is for 38 working weeks per year (term time only), but you will be paid for 43.60 weeks of the year to include holiday pay.
References will be usually taken up prior to interview; if you currently work in a school, please ensure one of your references is from your current Headteacher. You will be required to provide appropriate evidence of identity and qualifications to support other pre-employment checks which will be undertaken on the successful candidate for this role, including: your right to work in the UK, a confidential health declaration, an online search of your name in line with government guidance on Keeping Children Safe in Education, and a DBS application.
