About this Role

We are seeking to appoint a Science Technician to join the team.    It is an exciting time to join us, we are in the process of refurbishing the science labs to provide the best classroom experience for our students.  The successful candidate will play an integral role within the department, helping to prepare the labs and organising the equipment needed for the practical experiments.

The post will appeal to someone who is naturally comfortable in the presence of young people and enjoys being with them.   A good sense of humour, a positive attitude and resilience are essential!  The role is busy and varied, so you will need to have exceptional communication and organisational skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.  Previous experience of working with young people along with knowledge or an interest in science would be an advantage, however training and induction will be provided.

The post is for a total of  25-30 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.  Exact hours will be discussed and agreed prior to appointment as there is some flexibility.
