About this Role

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference to the education of young people? Do you have experience of working with children or young people with additional needs?

Perins is a well respected secondary school in the beautiful market town of New Alresford. We are looking to recruit a positive and adaptable Teaching Assistant to work in our friendly Learning Support Team to support students with learning or social and communication difficulties. Your role may include working with a number of children in lessons or on a 1-1 basis.

You must enjoy working with children and be able to relate well to both students and adults and want to make a difference to the lives of our young people. Applicants should have previous experience of working with children with a SEN need and/or an understanding of the support they will need to succeed in a mainstream secondary school. A specialism in numeracy and / or KS2 numeracy experience would be a distinct advantage.

Perins School offers a supportive and rewarding work environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth. Staff benefit from free parking onsite, weekly "cake break" each Friday morning, free access to our onsite gym, and the opportunity to join the generous Local Government Pension Scheme. If you are a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant who is ready to make a positive impact on the lives of our students, we encourage you to apply.
