About this Role

If you are seeking a new opportunity, as part of a passionate and dedicated team in a thriving, successful school, this could be the position for you.  We are looking for a Humanities teacher who ideally is a Religious Education specialist, however we would welcome applications from other Humanities specialisms.  Our school offers the opportunity for professional development within one of the best performing schools locally and nationally.

Our students all study a Humanities subject to GCSE Level, we consider Humanities as ‘core’ at Manor High School.  We have EBACC entry levels of c90% year after year.  Our School and Humanities department share the same beliefs, that Humanities should be at the heart of the curriculum. If you are looking for the school that values Humanities not just as a qualification but also as contributory factor to character development then you have found that school!

We are always looking for how to improve even further and we are a 1-2-1 iPad school, and this has transformed how we teach and how students learn.  Full support and training will be given to the successful candidate.  It is an exciting journey to be a part of!  You will be supported by in house and Trust digital leaders, to ensure you can be the very best that you can be.

Manor High is an exceptional 11-16 school based in a highly desirable part of Oadby, Leicestershire.  It has over 900 students and is part of the OAK Academies Trust.  We benefit from a culturally diverse population and a body of students who are well-motivated, with very high aspirations.  Our school is founded upon four core values: Excellence, Inspiration, Resilience and Respect. These underpin all that we do and all that we are.

We will support your own professional learning and development, through CPD opportunities and our instructional coaching model.

Please refer to the OAK Candidate Information pack to learn more about our employee benefits.

Come and visit us before you apply; our Headteacher would love to show you our school in action.  We would be delighted to receive an application from you thereafter.

We reserve the right to interview early for the right candidate.  Please submit your application as soon as possible.
