About this Role

We seek a motivated, dedicated and innovative Teacher of English to join our experienced team at Manor High School.  We deliver English to GCSE level; therefore, you should be able to offer teaching to this standard.

Our students love school and they love their English lessons! We are one of the most successful departments in the county and are an enthusiastic and pioneering team, passionate about our subject and the outcomes of our students. If you are looking for a school that values literature, teamwork and innovation, you have found that school!

We are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who is passionate about Literature and wants to inspire others and in return, you will benefit from being supported by a committed and talented staff body and an experienced English team.

We are excited to be at the start of an incredible journey, recently launching an innovative 1 to 1 ipad scheme for students and there has never been a better time to join us.

Manor High is an exceptional 11-16 school based in a highly desirable part of Oadby, Leicestershire.  It has over 900 students and is part of the OAK Academies Trust.  We benefit from a culturally diverse population and a body of students who are well-motivated, with very high aspirations.  Our school is founded upon four core values: Excellence, Inspiration, Resilience and Respect. These underpin all that we do and all that we are.

We will support your own professional learning and development, through CPD opportunities.

Please refer to the OAK candidate information pack for details around our employee benefits.

Come and visit us before you apply; our Headteacher would love to show you our school in action.  We would be delighted to receive an application from you thereafter.

We reserve the right to shortlist and interview earlier than the closing date, should suitable applications be identified.
