The Scholars’
Education Trust is looking to appoint an inspirational leader for Longdean
School, Hemel Hempstead, as the school continues its mission to deliver the
highest possible quality of education for the young people in its care. We are seeking an experienced leader, with a
passion for ensuring that nothing is impossible if it enables students to
achieve their very best.
Longdean School is at the
heart of diverse community in the Bennets End area of Hemel Hempstead and offers an inspiring and supportive
learning environment for more than 1,400 students from 11-18, with a 6th
form of over 200 and a highly qualified and motivated staff. A new Headteacher is being sought following the announcement that
the current Head is moving on after 13 years of successful leadership. This is
a rare opportunity for the right candidate to take the school forward to the
next stage of its development
The successful candidate will have an expert knowledge of the
latest pedagogical developments coupled with a track record of innovation and
improvement. They will also have the
interpersonal and leadership skills to bring together stakeholders to support all
students in fulfilling their potential.
To help them deliver this vision, they will have the support of the
wider Scholars’ Education Trust of which Longdean School has been a valued
member since 2023.
