An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate of exceptional ability to join our English Department as a Teacher of Key stage 3-5 English in this over-subscribed and successful selective school.

This role requires a strong understanding of how to engage, support and encourage students in order to achieve high standards. You will play a key role in supporting the corporate responsibility for the well-being, education and discipline of all students by: following designated programmes of study, carrying out necessary assessments, maintaining discipline in accordance with school policies, working closely with other teachers in the same curriculum area and engaging in continuous professional development in the relevant areas.
We believe that the study of English and Literature should provide our students with both an independence of mind, and the essential communication skills necessary in their future lives. In the future, we see ourselves taking the department and the students forward, both in terms of attainment and results, extra-curricular activities, innovation and challenge, and also in developing those softer skills within our students that the study of English and Literature allows us to explore.
