The successful candidate will coordinate and manage Education, Health and Care Plan processes across the school, ensuring statutory requirements are met and that students’ individual needs are effectively supported. Acting as the main point of contact for EHCP-related matters, the postholder will work closely with staff, parents/carers and external agencies, including representatives from the local authority.
Key responsibilities will include coordinating the annual EHCP review cycle; preparing for, organising, attending and taking minutes at meetings, preparing and distributing documentation, monitoring deadlines and submissions, and following up agreed actions. The role will also involve maintaining accurate EHCP and SEND records across SIMS and other school systems, and ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders.
The post will also develop over time to include oversight of systems for Individual Support Plans as these are introduced.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organisational ability and a high level of attention to detail. Experience of working within SEND administration or EHCP processes is highly desirable. Strong ICT skills are essential, particularly in Word, Excel and email systems, together with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. A flexible, positive and collaborative approach is key to success in this role.
If you are efficient, dedicated and passionate about inclusion and student support, we would welcome your application.
